The Sutton Grange Wedding of Erin & Clint.
Erin & Clint’s Sutton Grange wedding was my first at the venue. I met them there the night before to say hi and do a bit of a location scout. There were amazing photography locations everywhere, bush tracks and vineyards some old twisted gums in open grassed fields and a massive pristine lake. All this within only a few hundred meters of the cellar door. They were busy working out the reception set up so it was a pretty quick catch up. “Hi you guys seem awesome and this place is insane! Just have fun and this is going to be easy. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
The weather reports were mixed. A little rain and a little sun, perfect for photography. I started with the boys and then the girls for the usual getting ready shots. Everyone was relaxed and there was plenty of laughing and a few wedding tears.
At Sutton Grange the ceremony was set up on the lawn with the lake and Mt Alexander in the background. It was windy and you could see the rain approaching in the distance. Clint made the decision to risk it and scramble for shelter if we needed to, and we did. Luckily when the rain came the boys were onto it. The girls and the guests took shelter under the balcony while the boys went to work. It took just 5 minutes to move the arch and all of the chairs inside and actually added a fun communal energy to the ceremony.
The rest of the day was amazing and incident free, other than the most incredible self contained storm cloud complete with it’s own private rainbow that I’ve ever seen.
