Bendigo Wedding – Kim & Luke

When Kim and Luke told me that their Bendigo wedding was going to be in my home suburb of  Strathfieldsaye my fingers were crossed. I photograph about 60 weddings a year and only a hand full are ever in my home town of Bendigo. Not only was the wedding going to be Strath’, it was also going to finish at around 7pm. A daytime wedding! Since I travel so much for work the novelty of shooting around the corner and being home that night to hang out with my kids before dark on a Saturday,  had me. I hadn’t even met them yet.

They came around for a meeting and couldn’t have been easier going.  All they wanted was a bunch of their closest friends and family to watch them marry then have a nice lunch. Not only was this a convenient wedding ( for me ) but it was also right up my alley in regards to where it’s heart was. They booked and I couldn’t wait!

The day came and went and it was just as I thought it would be. The light was crazy good and the people were relaxed and fun.

We ended up with some pretty beautiful images too. Perfect day, I felt like a guest.
